Change in Professional tax in Tamilnadu

I have a circular issued by Chennai corporation dated 10.08.09 notfiying that the PT rates have been revised (the PT for highest slab is now Rs.1,095/- instead of Rs.810).

Are the rates revised only for Chennai city? My office jurisdiction is under Thoraipakkam panchayat (Chennai rural). So, at wat rate should I pay the Professional tax?

It will be great help to me if you answer my question.

better you confirm the same from the respective zone of the chennai corporation, if the area you have mentioned is falling within the chennai jurisdiction.
