The Certificate course on International Taxation commences on 21.03.2009 in Hyderabad. The registration for the course is open. The registration fees of Rs.25,000/- can be paid online by clicking on the link https://www.icai.org/ccm.html?progid=17 or through DD/ Pay order drawn in favour of "The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India", payable at New Delhi.

The applicant is required to submit a hard copy of the application form at either of the following addresses irrespective of the mode of payment i.e. online/ D.D/ Pay order.

Course curriculum and faculty:

The topics of the course would include such as overview of International taxation, tax treaties, main trends and evolutions of model conventions, interpretation of treaties, concept of residence and all other articles of model conventions. Other topics such as Authority for advance ruling, TDS under Sec 195 and DTAA, Tax implications of expatriates, partnerships under the treaty law, triangular cases, tax haven countries, concept of controlled Foreign corporations, Hybrid financial instruments, Electronic commerce and taxation, Transfer Pricing, Case studies on specific treaties etc.

Eminent faculties who have rich practical experience from Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad are being lined up to deal with different topics of the course.

The course will be conducted on Saturdays (on some Fridays also) spreading over 16 weeks. It will be followed by the Assessment test as per the rules prescribed by ICAI. Details of specific sessions along with respective faculty would be hosted on Branch website very shortly.
