First and second stage dealers can raise cenvatable invoices. It means that whatever CVD and SAD are paid on import purchase can proportionately be passed on to the buyer, in which case, there is no need for you to avail cenvat credit. Buyers can subsequently avail such credit if applicable.

You cannot claim the basic custom duty if you are registered under central excise as a trader then you can pass the CVD and SAD.
