Cellphone radiation below limits in Delhi

THE radiation level from cellular services in Delhi is well below the maximum permissible limit by global safety standards making the city safe from its ill effects, says an independent study commissioned by industry bodies representing telecom firms in India. "Radiation levels from mobile towers in Delhi are 100 times below international safety standards," says the study by a group comprising centre of Excellence in Wireless Technology (CEWIT) besides academic institutions ITT Madras and Thiagarajar College of Engineering released on Tuesday.
