It is true that there is no comperision between MBA (except good one Inst) and CA.
But why somewhere treated as same.
They have to give us more.
Also ICAI have to take some step for those PSU

CA vs MBA comparision is done often by people who are jealous of the Average MBA guy making more money than a average CA... Except that right now, this post has been started by some curious student..
.
.
Debate alot guys. And whatever you and some stupid people on CA Club (whom you all call Sir Sir and CA featured members) may conclude, the fact remains that if 2 people with the same IQ and same talent hop into CA & MBA respectively, the MBA guy will ALWAYS earn more. Period.
All right,
fisrt of all, one thing always in my mind that why people are looking for difference between CA & MBA only. There are some courses also related to Accounts/finance/Taxation/laws.
The Most difference is MBA is expensive need communivation skill and its related to Finace management studies only where as CA is less exensive and take lots of time and need concentrates, ability to keep in mind huge sullabus and its related to accounts, taxation, costing etc.., including finance .Many replay posted CA is only 4 year course. It may 4 years but it cannot.
No need to make out the differences between courses please... All courses having its own qulilties depend upon the person talent & abilites.

I think CA is the QUALITATIVE COURSE in all available commerce courses. Not all but IIM MBAs have potentials for comaprison with CAs.
Now adays there are MBA colleges in Galli Muhalla of India.

As far as earning is concerned, on an average CA's are getting more than MBA's.

More interesting wud be 2 decide which of the courses is better in terms of future prospects .
CA is world known n recognised world over thnx 2 our MOUs with ICAEW etc so it gains the edge over an MBA from a normal Indian B-School.
However MBAs and MSc(Finance) from IIM , ISB and foreign B-Schools like LSE , LBS etc have equal or perhaps greater value than CAs owing to the reputation of the institutes .

HA HA... BIGGEST JOKE OF THE CENTURY. India produces around 4000 to 5000 CAs per annum. Go to the websites of the top 25 MBA colleges and see salaries of those 5000 grads and you will see the difference. The average salary of a CA is about 6 lacs ( even with less than 50 % students getting placed, while with MBA it is about 100 % )

@ koolleo87, your perception is very wrong. There is no relation between Degree and earning. There are many people with simple B.com Degree or even less who have set up businesses and are earning in crores. The talk here is about the level of knowledge that a person gains. And there can be no argument if anyone says that knowledge wise CAs outperform their peer MBAs. SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE STILL STUCK IN SOME 19TH CENTURY. What is relevant here is not the knowledge, but the application of knowledge. Just to prove my point, tell me the knowledge which a CA has which CANNOT be acessed by anyone by buying the relevant books. Just mugging up age old laws is not knowledge Madam. Application of knowledge and skill to earn revenue and grow the business is knowledge.

Someone has very correctly said "Common sense is not so common". When the demand for CAs is more than the supply I am supposed to believe that 50% of the CAs dont get placed. Were you telling a joke? If you were, I failed to appreciate it.
My dear sir you forgot to read the whole story. 50% CAs dont sit for placements. They get jobs on their own long before the placement starts.
As for MBAs earing more than CAs please go to a practising CA and ask him his income. As for those in employment they earn much more than your average MBA. Most of the fresh MBAs (around 80-90%) earn no more than Rs10,000/- pm. Please note that I am not talking about the top 20 B-schools.
As for the IIMs a few people get close to a crore salaries and get take the average. if you know your maths right then you will be able to calculte that in a normal year around 70% of the students get less than the average salary.
