Can anyone advise me abt the starting salary a CA can expect in a Medium size firm in chennai..its Urgent.

its depend upon the individual to individual but averageley a freshly qualified CA can get more then 30000 p.m as some of my CA qualified friends is getting a salary between 30000 to 70000 p.m in Ludhiana location...

If u have passed CA in ur first attempt than u can expect salary of around 10 lakhs per annum, First attempt than between 6-8 lakhs per annum.........depends upon the location .....I am talking about Banglaore based salary.......

In chennai, anywhere between 4.5Lacs to 5Lacs p.a. will be the average pay in medium sized firms.

@ Radha...in chennai..as kalpesh said its right ..around 4.5/5 lac pa.
@ gayatri...its true only if u r first attempt u get good salary otherwise anything between Rs.4.5 to 6 lacs...depending upon your work/experience...

Ya that is obvious.....If u clear in first attempt than u can get good salary but first attemper can also get good salary if he has done his articelship from good firm or has good communication skills and finally the location of job........

@ Rajesh i'm having oly articles training exp..stil can i get 4.5 to 5 lacs???..i didnt pass in first attempt..

HI radha,
As kalpesh already said,,,if u have cleared in first attempt den u could get more than 6lacpa...if u have more attempt den anything in between 4.5 to 6lac pa...if u semiqualified (completed articlse) den anything around 2.40 to 3.60..

@ Gayatri...yes you are true....if working in good firm ,you have to devote 10 to 12 hours per day...and hence you dont get time to study...i was lucky..done articleship in med.size firm..and post qualification had good stuff of experiences..
