Oh and Arbitrage theory is basically an extension of CAPM which says the returns are sensitive to not just excess premium on market return but inflation, GNP etc.
The paper wasn't easy that's for sure..just unconventional!

Arbitrage theory is one of the basic fundas in our syllabus to earn risk free profit... Risk free model is also given in module...Utilities is a simple word for normal daily expenses... The swap problem was little tricky but not difficult at all if your basics and fundas are strong
I passed out last time but if this was the tough part, then I think paper was really easy.
I think ans of APT shall be
calculate Return of factor 1 (Rf1) and then for factor 2 (Rf2) ans so on for all 5 factor using CAPM (i.e. calculate rm if other information is given )
and apply this
Er = rf + (Rf1-rf)beta of factor 1 + (Rf2 -rf) beta factor of 2 ans so on till 5
this will be return from APT
