CA and Actuary

I had given CA Final exam in May 2011. I want to do Actuary Course. Please suggest that it would be beneficial to do this course with CA or not?

Knowledge is always useful. Go for Acturial studies only if you are very strong in mathamatics

CAs working in Insurance industry can give more insight

Pls do adequate research b4 jumping on Actuary boat. It demands a strong expertise in maths & stats. By god's grace, if u happen to pass ca final this may, u may join actuarial studies with total commitment. Once u succeed, there is no looking back.

My suggetion is to go for Actuarial exams . As with the commencement in the age the vigour for studies gets depleteeed so go for ACET Exams and the maths reqiured for it is very simple and can be understood easily !!!! Slowly you will adjust yourseld with pace of the course as did it with the CA profession . I had cleared the exams of ACET DEC 2012 and iam also a CA final student. So , seeing the present conditions of CA ( in the job sector which is very poor ) I would like you to consider this course as an reserve. CA+Actuary is an deadly combination in the insurance sector as you can ladder up your positions and get an excellent pacakge at the entry level psotions as well!!
