Even its used by a CA in practice, its not a misconduct because u r not permitted to use the designation showing that u r a CA in Practice .. but u r allowed to show ur Qualifications - Degree of university or membership of ICAI or any other professional body

Hi Ayush,
The prefixes, CA, CS, CWA, Er., Ar. denote affiliations to (or memberships in) their respective proffesional bodies. Adding them to your name cannot be construed to be an attempt to advertise your services.
The Institute must have thought out this scenario before releasing guidelines isn't it?
Thanks!

Are you sure? Either you are getting confused or may be I am! Because I feel that the paragraph seems to suggest that on professional documents you cannot use any designation other than ca with few exceptions. I feel that you might have interpreted it incorrectly. The paragraph is about use of designation other than CA on singular document rather than what you have interpreted. Correct me if I am wrong. This clause is included(as I feel) to distinguish CA with other achievements which are not as significant as CA is.
Also what do you think about using CA logo on Cars etc., I personally feel that its preposterous but nothing in act suggests against this. After searching for about half an hour I feel that institute has largely remained silent on this issue since it is still in process of promoting the logo and regulating the use of this logo will be last on its mind.
Hey I noticed in your profile that you are from Marathwada Area. How have you gone too far upto Kolkuta? I am from Nanded. Where were you living in Marathwada. If you don't mind answering my invasive question please send me a PM.

PS- Using clause 6 with Clause 7 would also not be correct since both the clauses have different objectives. I also remember that institute allowed advertisement in limited sense through a circular but I am not able to find it now. Does anyone else have any knowledge on this issue. Share experience if any....
