In case a proprietor himself acts as an authorised signatory, then who will appoint him as in the letter he will sign himself.

please provide format of Proof of Appointment of Authorised Signatory in case of Partnership firm and Company. please also clarify, in case of Case Of Company Whether we need to hold Board Meeting to appoint the Authorised Signatory.

Please Reply to the above query as soon as possible as it is very urgent

There is no need to attach Proof of appointment of Authorised Signatory in case of a proprietorship firm. You can simply select Authorised Signatory as Yes in the page where details of Proprietor is mentioned. This will automatically skip the authorised signatory tab and you can head forward.

Please share a format in case of the company and do we need to hold a board meeting for such appointment.

Please also clarify, that in the above shared format we are referring dear sir/ madam, is it enough should we not mention the name of the authority

Is it necessary that in case of Partnership Firm only partners can act as a Authorised Signatory or they can authorise any other person and also in case of a comapny can any person other then directors be appointed as Authorised signatory

This is the format mentioned in the draft rules by the authorities.

In my opinion, this format should be used. Also there is a need to hold a board meeting and attach a board resolution only in case where such declaration can not be available.

As regards to query of appointment of some other person as an Authorised Signatory: To my interpretation of the FAQ's, Rules etc. both in case of partnership firms and companies, any other employee or manager or key managerial person to this effect can be appointed as an Authorised Signatory provided such authority is formally delegated by the Partners/BOD's.

Thanks for the Reply Shriya Mehta. Do Sole Proprietor also need to attach proof of authorised signatury. I mean how the owner himself can authorise him? Please clarify with this regard.
