Attempts of an exam!!!!!!

Hello everyone....I have a few things to ask for and get clarification of it.

1.How will attempts be counted for an IPCC EXAM,i.e. in my case I didn't apply for the exams IN MAY-2014 even my first attempt was due in MAY-2014.Instead I cleared my group-1 exams in NOV-2014.So,will it be counted as 2 attempts or single attempt?

I have read somewhere that its counted as an attempt when someone sits for an exam rather than not giving the exams when its due

2.Also if its the second attempt that I have cleared the exam, will ICAI state it in my pass certificate?

Plzzz clarify my above querries...its urgent.THANK U FOR UR REPLY.

Attempt is only counted when you Fill the Exam Form irrespective whether you sit for exam or not.

If you do not fill the exam form no attempt is counted.

Good Luck

Thankyou sir for your reply....this means in my case it will be counted as one attempt.

See when you tell your prospective employers or your friends about your no. attempts you always tell the no. of attempts required to clear BOTH the groups.

So currently you have cleared Group 1 in 1st Attempt. Number of attempts untill now is 1 (one).

In future you should add the Attempt number for Group 2 respectively.

To answer your Question no. 2 in the previous post - NO, the ICAI does not mention your number of attempts in your certificate BUT you should always be honest about your attempts with valid and genuine reasons, ofcourse.
