Printed is preferred as it is the present customary, I haven't seen any hand-written resume being submitted. You might want to attach photocopies of your marksheets, reference/ experience/ achievement certificates (if any), also carry few passport size photographs, some organisations require it. Keep multiple sets of resume and certificate photocopies along with.
You may also prefer to carry the originals in a album sort of file, where the interviewee can have the opportunity to browse through, don't loose anything, if you are scared of misplacing/ loosing, don't carry and if asked for originals, say you will present it whenever required. You can arrange the certificates in reverse chronological order, looks neat and makes sense.
Be aware of what's written on your resume, and expect questions based on it.
