ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) has entered into MOUs with a few Foreign Professional Bodies (details below):
- 1) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
- 2) Mutual Recognition Agreement with The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA)
- 3) Mutual Recognition Agreement between ICAI and CPA Ireland
- 4) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
- 5) Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with Certified Public Accountants, Australia
My question is whether it will be of any use if an Indian Chartered Accountant becomes a member of the above mentioned Institutes through MOU. Will that fetch him any employment opportunities in the respective Foreign Countries? For example, if an Indian Chartered becomes a member of ICAEW through the MOU, will it help him to get employment opportunities in UK?
Also over the past few months, many newly qualified CAs were whining that they are unable to get jobs even after more than 6 months of thier aualifying. Then, why don't they make of the above mentioned MOUs?
Thanks.
