The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India. During its nearly six decades of existence, ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body not only in the country but also globally, for its contribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards. ICAI now is the second largest accounting body in the world. |
The Curriculum of the Chartered Accountancy Course has been designed, developed and maintained so that the members of the Profession can become the valued Trustees of the World Class Financial Competence, Good Governance and Competitiveness. The Chartered Accountancy Examination are held twice a year. The Professional Education- II (PE-II) exam in May, 2008 was held in 176 Examination Centers spread over 105 cities all over India and 3 cities abroad. Today the result of Chartered Accountancy Professional Education- II (PE-II) has been declared. For details pertaining to result of the PE-II exam, please refer to summary at Annexure 2. An analysis of the result- city wise/City gender wise/state gender wise is also attached for your reference. |
The percentage of Female Students passing out has increased. Out of total of 17291 students that appeared for Both Groups, the number of Female Students is 5153, i.e., 29.8%. The pass percentage of Female Students is also better than male students i.e., 8.48% as against 7.76% of Male Students. List of top five students of PE-II Exam with their photographs is attached at Annexure 3. A list of five female toppers of PE-II Exam is also attached. |
