No FBT is not applicable on all kind of advertisement
For more information Refer Section 115WB(2)(D) under which excluded items are mentioned

FBT is not attracted towards expenses incurred for advertisements. Advertisements is an expenditure that is the nature of service to employee. TDS will attracted towards Advertisement..............

FBT is levied on advertisement but it is not levied on the genuin advertisement expenses............proviso to SEc.115WB(2)(D) provides a list of genuin advertisement exp. and hence excludes it from levy of fbt...........
