now tell me onething  contribution  is  180000  for  both  right

what is given ,,,,contribution  per  unit  in the monopoly  market  is as high  as  three fourth  its  variable cost

so  contbution per unit  in  monopoly  is   180000/1200=150  per unit

150*1/4=37.5

vc  is   37.5  +con.  150=187.5

lokesh is right about 4a.

it is contribution is 3/4 its variable cost. .i.e. if VC is 100 then contri is 75 and sales is 175(means 175 %of VC).

hence if VC unit is x then sale will be 1.75x, which equals (1200* 1.75x - 1200*x = 180000), 900x= 180000,

x = 200, hence sale price /- unit = 350.

(Guest)

I have my own style of completing paper, you may be astonished to know that I completed every paper in 1.15 hours except cost and accounts in november attempt and managed to pass Group I. I failed in Group 2 becuase of 5 marks shortage in DT and IDT both. THIS WAS ALL because I prepared in three months duration since my actual due is May 2011. Now I know how to score well and what were shortcomings in DT and IDT due to which i failed. Other wise all papers can be completed well before time.

I never give preference to LENGTH and prefer to write answer to the point whether it get completed in 2-3 lines or 10 lines. I passed ISCA completed in 1.5 hours.

hi ankur , i totally agree with u , i have seen that, many students go on asking for 1 extra sheet over another and they fail, its ca not bcom, u have to write up the point
