THERE IS NO ONE WHO CAN RESTRICT THEM THEREFORE SUCH THINGS HAPPENS ALSO THE INSTITUTE IS NOT TAKINGSERIOUS STEPS

.......... hours exceed 35 hours per week (excluding lunch break), he/she shall be entitled to compensatory leave calculated with reference to number of completed working hours, over above, 35 hours per week.

Leave cannot be claimed as a matter of right. The leave sanctioning authority (Principal) may refuse or revoke leave of any kind. Leave of one kind taken earlier may be converted into leave of a different kind and that is what compensatory leave.
If you have taken a leave for say 3-4 days on personal grounds, the principal may waive that if you have worked extra (more than 35 hours a week) latter or in future date.
Problem is that your extra performance should be worth enough to convince principal of giving extra credit to your articleship. It is seen most in matters where a CA is family friend/relative.
