  • Jatin Kunverji says : MVAT on Apartments
Yes Sir. I completely agree to your suggestions. We, as the end users need to come together & engage ourselves to get out of this David V/s Goliath situation. This is for Mr J Jadhav : I also purchased flat in Thane. My telephone # is 67423210. If you think appropriate, kindly share your contact #. We, as suffering end users can form a forum to fight against this arrogant & unilateral behavior of builders..

  • MJ Krishnamurthy says : VAT on Apartments
Mr Jatin K, The builders will not budge so easily.Because they might have already collected wrong amounts from flat buyers and once they yield to any one all others try to follow the same formula. You can take a learned lawyer or a CA to the builder and try to impress him on the correct position of law. In these cases few buyers have to join together and fight for justice. After all somebody has to 'bell the cat'.....MJK

  • Jatin Kunverji says : MVAT on the sale of Flat till 31.03.2010
MJK Sir, Many thanks for your immensely valuable guidance on this. I had read all the threads of Mr Jadhav's query. However, builder is not budging at all. He is demanding MVAT @ 5%. Neither he is giving the computation nor he is handing over the possession. Can you suggest any other alternatives other than Consumer Court / Legal Notice? These require humongous effort & time.

  • Jayendra Jadhav says : VAT liability on flats
Sure Sir I will keep you informed. Thanks.

  • MJ Krishnamurthy says : VAT liability
Mr Jayendra Jadhav, Please feed me back with the final outcome.I wish you suceed in paying the correct amount of tax only....MJK
