I want clarification on the appointment of internal auditor of company. According to section 138 of the Companies Act, 2013, internal audit is mandatory for certain class of companies and for this purpose, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or such other professional as may be decided by the Board. It means company secretary is also eligible to appoint as internal auditor of the company. According to section 203, Company Secretary is also whole time key managerial personnel of a company. Now, I want to know that Whole time Company secretary in service can also be appointed as internal auditor of the same company in pursuant to the provisions of 138 of Companies Act, 2013 and rules made there under. If we filled wrong bank challan no.in M-Vat E-retun Filling of Form No.231 at that time if we have selected Type of Return-Original nd upload file..Then after one month we realised that we filled bank challan no..then we can do for that matter..Nd next time what we shuld choose type of Return...Please let me know here or on shreya.bhanage@gmail.com
