Notification No. 41/2020 -Customs (ADD)

G.S.R. 741(E). - Whereas, the designated authority vide initiation notification No. 7126/2020-DGTR, dated the I Sib August, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1, dated the 181h August, 2020 has initiated review, in terms of sub-section (5) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), (hereinafter referred to as the Customs Tariff Act) and in pursuance of rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on imports of Front Axle Beam and Steering Knuckles meant for heavy and medium commercial vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the subject goods) falling under tariff items 7326 1910, 7326 1990, 7326 9099, 8708 5000, 8708 9900 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the subject country), imposed vide notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 49/2015-Customs (ADD), dated the 21′ October, 2015, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II. Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 802(E), dated the 21″ October, 2015;
And whereas, the Central Government had extended the anti-dumping duty on the subject goods, originating in or exported from the subject country up to and inclusive of the 30th November, 2020, vide notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 3112020-Customs (ADD), dated the 16th October, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R 646(E), dated the 16th October, 2020;
And whereas, the designated authority has requested for further extension of the anti-dumping duty on the subject goods originating in or exported from the subject country.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (5) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, read with rules 18 and 23 of the said rules, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 49/2015-Customs (ADD), dated the 21″ October, 2015, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 802 (E), dated the 21g October, 2015, namely:-
In the said notification, in paragraph 3, for the figures and words “30th November, 2020”, the figures and words “31” January, 2021″ shall be substituted.
