Formation of new district in Karnataka –
Assignment of Lead Bank Responsibility
The Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka vide their Gazette Notification No.RD 59 BHUDAPU 2008, Bangalore dated 26th December 2008 have advised about the constitution of new district Yadgir by carving out of the existing Gulbarga district with effect from 30th December 2009. The new district Yadgir with its headquarter at Yadgir, comprises Yadgir, Shahapur and Shorapur talukas.
2. It has been decided to assign the Lead Bank responsibility of the new district Yadgir to State Bank of India. The Lead Bank responsibility of existing Gulbarga district will, however, continue to be with State Bank of India.
3. There is no change in the lead bank responsibilities of other districts in the State.
