The Supreme Court constituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) on black money will present the ninth interim report to the Supreme Court within 15 days, said the vice-chairman of the SIT, Justice retired Arijit Pasayat here on Monday.
After forming the government in May, 2014 the new Narendra Modi government in its very first cabinet meeting cleared the appointment of the SIT ordered by the apex court.
"Till date we have filed eight reports to the Supreme Court while the nine report will be filed within fifteen days," said Justice Pasayat to reporters here.
He said in response to a hypothetical question that would not be the last report because there is work in progress.
The SIT vice-chairman visited here on Monday on a three-day tour of the state.
The commissioner is said to be planning to arrange a meeting of officers from IT, ED, Customs and Excise and Central Board of Indirect Tax departments in Cuttack on August 28. Rahul Navin, Director of ED is also to attend the meeting.
