Shri Salman Khurshid to Inaugurate 37th National Convention of Company Secretaries at Hyderabad tomorrow
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India ( ICSI ) is organizing its 37th National Convention of Company Secretaries from tomorrow at Hyderabad. It will be inaugurated by Shri Salman Khurshid, Minister for Corporate Affairs. The theme of the three day Convention is: “Lead Corporate India – Role of Company Secretary”. The Convention seeks to make an in-depth analysis of the theme by deliberating it in four Technical sessions:
· Managing Growth in Turbulent Times .
· Integrity, Ethics and Governance
· Best Practices in Financial /Non-Financial Disclosures; and
· Lead The Market under Competition Regime
On November 6, a special session on ‘International Perspective’ will be held wherein representatives of Company Secretaries Institutes from other countries will participate. On the concluding day a special session on Companies Bill 2009 will be addressed by Mrs. Renuka Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
About 1200 delegates including Company Secretaries, Managing Directors, CEOs, Directors, Senior Executives and professionals from India and abroad are expected to participate in the National Convention. The three-day Convention will be addressed by Captains of trade and industry, eminent experts, academicians, senior civil servants and professionals.
