In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29A of the Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1959, the Central Government constituted a Quality Review Board. The Central Government has reconstituted the Board vide Notification number G.S.R. 69 (E) dated 6th February 2012 with the following members:
Shri R.S. Sharma, Ex-Chairman ONGC - Chairperson
Shri Navrang Saini, Regional Director, (Eastern Region), MCA - Member
Ms. Nandana Munshi, Principal Director of Commercial Audit & Ex-officio Member, Audit Board I - Member
Shri V. Kalyanaraman, Past President, ICAI - Member
Shri Kunal Banerjee, Past President, ICAI - Member
Section 29B of the Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1959 provides that the Board shall perform the following functions:
To make recommendations to the Council with regard to the quality of services provided by the members of the Institute;
To review the quality of services provided by the members of the Institute including cost audit services; and
To guide the members of the Institute to improve the quality of services and adherence to the various statutory and other regulatory requirements.
The Quality Review Board invites views and suggestions with regard to the quality of services being rendered by the Cost and Management Accountants either in employment or in professional practice.
The members of the industry associations / corporate / regulators / members in practice are requested to give their feedback in the prescribed questionnaire by following the link given below latest by 30th November 2012:
