Lately, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India conducted their 313th Council Meeting where suggestions were made for an increase in minimum stipend for Practical Training Students.
On 10th September 2018, the Institute has released a notification confirming the increased stipend for CWA students which will be as follows:

| 2 | Rs. 12,500 | Rs. 10,000 |
| 3 | Rs. 15,000 | Rs. 12,000 |
These new stipend rates will be effective from 1st October 2018 onwards. You can download the official announcement from the attachments below.
On the other hand, the stipend rates for CA Students remains as low as Rs. 1,500 / month.
Now, it is awaited that similar changes will be made by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the same will be updated first here on the CA Student Connect App.
