Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to Organize Round Table Conference on Commerce & Accountancy Education in India
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), which is one of the Institutes functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, will be organizing a one- day Round Table Conference on the theme ‘Commerce & Accountancy Education in India: Issues and Challenges’ here on coming Sunday, the 26th September. Vice-Chancellors and Heads of Commerce and Management Departments of various universities and eminent national and international academicians will debate the new paradigms for the commerce and professional accountancy education in India. Participants will include Prof. Vijay Kaul from the Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi; Prof. A. Aziz Ansari, Head, Department of Commerce & Business Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia; Prof. V. K. Gupta, Professor and Chairman, Finance and Accounting, IIM, Indore; Prof. Asish K. Bhattacharya from IIM Calcutta; Prof. Vinay K. Nangia, Head, Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee; Dr. Badar Iqbal, Head, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University; Dr. S. A discussion on integrating Accounting and Auditing Standards in the curriculum of commerce education in Indian University system will also be held during the Conference.
