Group to establish ICAI's view on the EU Request List and possible liberalisation Road Map

The Council at its Special Meeting held on 22nd and 23rd January, 2012 at Noida, while considering Item No.14, `Communication from Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India in regard to the Request by the European Union in the accountancy Sector and ICAI’s reiteration on the Possible Road Map for Liberalization in the Accountancy Sector’, had decided to send an interim reply to the Ministry in this regard and keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter, had decided to constitute a Group to complete the task within 60 days in order to establish ICAI’s view on the EU request list and the possible liberalization Road Map.

Accordingly, the President, in terms of the authority given to him by the Council at its 314th meeting held from 10th to 12th February, 2012, has constituted the said Group comprising of the following members:-

CA. Manoj Fadnis, Convenor

CA. Jayant Gokhale

CA. Nilesh Vikamsey

CA. J. Venkateswarlu

CA. Sumantra Guha

CA. Vinod Jain

Shri Rakesh Sehgal, Additional Secretary would act as Secretary to the above Group.

The said Group is required to complete its task by 31st March, 2012.
