New Delhi: For the first time in 57 years, the question paper for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) to be conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has been leaked.
Following a sting operation conducted by a private news channel, an investigation has been ordered into the matter.
A Delhi Centre Superintendent has been accused of selling the CPT paper to the news channel for several thousand rupees.
The ICAI has sent its representatives to all the 109 centres across the country including the Delhi centre from where the paper was leaked.
Chairman of ICAI, Mr. Sunil H Talati said, "All those involved with the paper leak will not be spared. I request all parents not to worry about the incident and not inform any student about the same even when they come out for the break at 11 am."
The CPT was conducted today at 9:00 am in 109 cities across the country. The ICAI has its examination centres in cities like Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi and Dubai also.
"Our children have been studying very hard for the examination. This news has come as a shock to us", an agitated parent said.
