ICAI has announced change in the process of verification of marks and certified copies of answer book
According to the recent announcement by ICAI, the process in which the verification of marks and supply of certified copies will be carried out has been revised.
Change in the process of verification of marks
Under the revised procedure of verification of marks the following aspects under Regulation 39 (4) will be covered,
- Whether any question or part thereof has skipped evaluation
- Whether there is any totaling error in any question or total marks on the cover page
- Whether there is any discrepancy between the step wise marking, total marks for each question indicated on the cover page
However, the re-evaluation of the answers or re-examination of the answer scripts is still not permitted.
Before providing the inspected answer scripts, verification of the answer books will be done by default. Students don't have to apply for verification of marks separately when applied for supply of inspected answer books.
The inspected answer scripts will be hosted on the website and the students can check the same from the ICAI website. Students will also get the option to print the verified answer scripts.
Upon the receipt of inspected of answer books if the students find any discrepancy, the same can be intimated to the Institute within 1 month of the receipt of answer books.
