"Several conduits were reportedly working on behalf of the Principal Commissioner to facilitate these transactions," the CBI stated.

A sting operation conducted on August 26 led to the interception of the accused along with a private individual at the Income Tax office in Ayakar Bhavan, Patna, as they allegedly attempted to complete a transaction involving the bribe amount.
