Rs 92,849 crore gross GST revenue collected in June 2021

The gross GST revenue collected in the month of June 2021 is Rs 92,849 crore of which CGST is Rs 16,424 crore, SGST is Rs 20,397, IGST is Rs 49,079 crore and Cess is Rs 6,949 crore.

ICAI welcomes observations of the candidates on the question papers of July 2021 CA examinations

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has invited the observations of CA students relating to the July 2021 CA Examinations. The same can be sent to ICAI via e-mail, or a letter by Speed Post. The same should reach the ICAI by 25th July 2021.

CBDT grants further relaxation in e-filing of Income Tax Forms 15CA/15CB

In view of the difficulties reported by taxpayers in electronic filing of Income Tax Forms 15CA/15CB on the portal www.incometax.gov.in, it has been decided to extend the due date for filing these Forms till 15th July 2021.

ICAI cancels July 2021 CA Exams in Kathmandu, Nepal

ICAI has decided to cancel the July 2021 CA Examinations in Kathmandu, Nepal due to the strict lockdown and accompanying restrictions in the country. However, the schedule in all other cities/centres shall remain the same.

CA Students and members of ICAI request ICAI for extension of Old Course

In their representation letter to ICAI, these students have cleared that this is not a legal representation and have listed 4 reasons as to why such an extension or an unconditional opt out facility is a need of the hour.

CBDT notifies changes in Rule 8AA with regard to amount chargeable to Income Tax under the head

CBDT has released the Income Tax Amendment (18th Amendment), Rules, 2021 under which, changes have been notified in Rule 8AA with regard to the amount chargeable to Income Tax under the head "Capital Gains" and a new Rule 8AB has been inserted.
