The GST Act is a comprehensive indirect tax reform that was implemented in India on July 1, 2017. It subsumed several indirect taxes, such as excise duty, service tax, and VAT. The GST Act has been credited with simplifying the tax regime and reducing compliance burden on businesses.

The registration process under the GST Act is online and can be completed in a few steps. The traders who registered at the camp were assisted by the GST department officials in completing the registration process.

The camp was a success and helped to increase awareness about the GST Act among traders. It is expected that more traders will register under the GST Act in the coming days.
