Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing the company for fundraising and/or an IPO. This position requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, financial planning, and compliance. The CA will be responsible for organizing and managing the company's financial data, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic financial advice to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
3. Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
4. Fundraising and IPO Preparation: Assist in the preparation of documents and presentations required for fundraising and IPO processes. Provide financial insights and analysis to support the CEO and leadership team.
5. Dashboards and KPIs: Develop and maintain financial dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into the company's financial health.
6. Tax Planning and Management: Oversee tax planning and compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns. Ensure the company maximizes tax efficiency and complies with all tax regulations.
7. Financial Strategy: Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial strategy, risk management, and long-term financial planning.

Skills Required

Education: CA certification is mandatory. Additional qualifications such as CFA or MBA in Finance are a plus.
Experience: Experience in financial management, preferably in the tech or startup sector. Experience with fundraising and IPO processes is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems). Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate finance. Familiarity with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
