An enthusiastic and dynamic individual is required to join our organization to lead a team and develop good practice. The purpose of this post is to ensure legal & financial compliance & reporting, supervise office staff and provide support through liaison with management and other sections of the organization.
Professional skills: B.Com or M. Com degree or equivalent with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a finance environment; knowledge of NGO finance management is an asset. Computer skills including accounting software/packages like Tally; fluency in spoken and written English.
Personal skills: Ability to adapt to a changing environment, good problem solving skills; be proactive in taking charge of an event, situation or crisis; organise and plan own work and supervise junior staff, meet deadlines; work well in a team and build good relationships, communicate with people at different levels and from different backgrounds appropriately and effectively in person and over the phone.
Scope of Tasks and Responsibilities
Managing staff in the department so that all staff are able to fulfil their responsibilities, including but not limited to:
• Ensuring clear lines of communication and cooperation between the department, the rest of the organisation and external stakeholders, including but not limited to:
• Ensuring that necessary financial planning procedures are carried out
• Ensure that appropriate finance systems and regulatory requirements are maintained and that all procedures and controls are implemented.
• Producing accurate, useful and timely reports
• Participate in the Fund Raising Operations of the Organization
• Ensure a framework is in place to source purchases as required including contract renewals and that all purchases comply with procurement policy and appropriate documentation is maintained
• Deputise for the Executive Director/Facilitator as appropriate and when necessary
• Undertake any other duties that may be requested by the Executive Director/Facilitator.

The Kattaikkuttu Sangam is managed by and for professional Kattaikkuttu performers whose core business is the Kattaikkuttu theatre. The organisation work covers five interlinked activities: Kattaikkuttu Sangam, a Gurukulam, an Apprentice Program, Theatre Companies and sustainability programmes.
