Key challenges for this role are to ensure that this team provides high quality results Job Description: * Allocate responsibilities, inform supervisors of the engagement status, and manage staff performance. * Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment. * Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. * Liaise closely with the offshore team to create a strong communication channel. * Discuss questions and queries promptly with onshore team, and address issues as they arise. * Challenge procedures used in the past by onshore and offshore audit teams and attempt to enhance audit techniques. * Compare efficiency of audit procedures performed across different clients and suggest ideas for improvement. * Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's business. * Bring potential opportunities for extending the work performed by the Global Shared Services to the onshore team's attention. * Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the onshore audit team. * Review the work of junior team members to ensure quality and documentation standards are adhered to. § Enable the development of junior team members by coaching them to develop their technical and soft skills. * Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
