The job holder will be primarily responsible for -
Managing and controlling financial operations in order that financial/accounting information is accurate, timely and supports management functions, and are within the set financial ratios and in accordance with the financial strategies.
ensuring the timely preparation of statements reporting the financial position and results of the company to management and regulatory agencies. Providing highlights and inputs on organization’s financial status (against budgets and prior years) and provides recommendations on what needs to be done to meet set objectives. Providing authoritative counsel on proper accounting principles and practices.
Responsible for ensuring that financial reports are as per set accounting principles and that they actually reflect the reality on the ground
Managing the delivery of all Financial Accounting objectives in accord with international financial accounting standards, company policies and procedures and local legislation.
Completing all financial reports to comply with corporate governance regulations in line with applicable legislation and company policies.
Ensuring internal and external audit are provided with full support to ensure that the audits are completed comprehensively and audit objectives are met.
Review the required Accounting and MIS reports and take necessary corrective action to meet the management requirements.
