Job Description


• Lead all Direct/Indirect Taxation matters of the company such as corporate income Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, Wealth Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Service Tax, VAT/CST and Withholding Taxes etc.

• Computation & Deposit of Advance Tax , Withholding Taxes, VAT & Service Tax

• Procedural compliance with Tax laws such as filing of periodical returns, replies/ submissions to enquiries from the department & issuance of Withholding Tax Certificates.

• Work closely with Tax officers & external consultants on various Assessment & Appellate proceedings and make submissions or giving the necessary directions and information to consultants, as may be necessary from time to time.

• Work closely with the Tax department & the external consultants for processing of the Service Tax refund claims.

• Responsible for tax computation of foreign nationals deputed to India and ensuring their Income Tax / Other compliance.

• Overall responsible for other statutory compliances such as compliance with STPI/RBI regulations in respect of Convergys offices in India and Interact with relevant authorities/ external consultants as may be required for the above matters.

• Responsible for maintaining & monitoring Compliance Dashboard for the above matters.

• Responsible for giving various tax advice to internal customers on various matters such TDS/ VAT/ Service Tax implications on procurement/ payment, optimization of Employee Taxation etc.

• Responsible for identifying & advising the management on Tax Planning opportunities having regard to Tax/Regulatory developments.

• Keep the internal customers informed of all relevant legal & judicial developments, provide training and take initiative and drive the implementation of required changes.

• Responsible for making various remittances to the parent company.

• Responsible for Vendor Data Management of Convergys.

• Lead a team of talented individuals and help them in channelizing their efforts and energy for adding value to organization and personal development.

• Responsible for preparation of Tax Packages and Statements for US reporting.

• Monitor the Tax account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
