If a person applying for GST registration, then the applicants must follow these steps based on whether you choose Aadhaar authentication or not.
If Applicants Do NOT Choose Aadhaar Authentication
- You must visit a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for photo capture and document verification.
- If you select “NO” for Aadhaar authentication, you will receive an email with the GSK location and a list of required documents.
- You can schedule an appointment via a link in the email. An appointment confirmation will follow through mail.
- Visit the GSK at the scheduled time for photo capturing, document verification.
If Applicants Choose Aadhaar Authentication and Biometric Verification is Needed
- Promoters/Partners opting for Aadhaar authentication must visit the GSK for biometric authentication (fingerprint/iris scan) and photo capture.
- Primary Authorized Signatory (PAS) must also visit the GSK for document verification, biometric authentication, and photo capture.
- If a Promoter/Partner has already completed biometric verification in any State/UT, they do not need to do it again for another business. However, if they become the PAS, they still need to visit the GSK for document verification.
- In case PAS has already been biometric verified in any State/UT during a previous registration, she/he will need to visit the GSK only for document verification.
- If the Promoter/Partner and PAS are the same individual, she/he must visit the GSK for photo capturing, biometric authentication, and document verification. If already biometric verified in the past, only document verification at the GSK is required.
