At the time of payment of TDS, if a wrong head is selected i.e. 194C is selected instead of 194I and the payment of the same is done, then what is the procedure of rectifying the TDS head??? Please help me wih the appropriate sections dealing with this if possible.

You have to inform the same your assessing officer.

As per my experience,
it cannot be rectified.
Anyway, you can send a letter mentioned the mistake and copy of proof to appropriate person.
