My CA has by mistake taken input in CGST & SGST instead of IGST
now department has raise the same amount of excess ITC demand with interest in 2019-20. But he filled correct Gstr 9 and Gstr 9c.
When he visits the department the officer has said we have to deposits the Itc with interest

Reverse the same under CGST/SGST & Claim the same In IGST in your Next GSTR 3B . Yes if You have paid the Tax in CGST/SGST instead of IGST , Then as per Section 77 of CGST need to pay tax In IGST & can claim Refund for wrong paid under CGST/SGST .in the concerned accounting year
