I got an email from KPMG for Written evaluation test and i got 3 days to prepare for it.. Can anyone guide me what to study and prepare??

I guess it would be mainly based on Taxation Audit and AS.
Because I have seen most of the companies asks que on AS in their Intervies and Written tests

Its my personal view.

Dear they can ask anything... basically u must know all the recent amendements like changes in companies act.. knowledge of erp,xbrl documentation.. tax audit,statutory audit,company audit

Whether impect fee paid to Municipal Authoritu for illigal construction is allowable under section 37 of Income tax Act 1961? If you know answer, let me reply or put a question kn forum on my behalf. Good Luck

I think no... Because this is a kind of penalty that we are paying for illegal construction. And deductions for penalties paid is not allowed.

Department will decide your preparation. If stat audit is what you are being tested for then focus should be on Accounts+audit(including standards)+some sections in income tax+service tax. Whereas if it is for taxation deptt then concentrate solely on Direct taxes.

If illegal incomes are taxable under Income Tax Act then what ground legal payment for illegal payment not allowable. Plesse find if any case law regardg this. Hint- Income from smuggling is taxable.
