m contractor registered in gst at Maharashtra,
m taking contract from railways & other govt organisation across the country.
weather it is advisable for me to take GSTN at every state or to operate from Maharashtra only..
pls answer such a way that no one will loss Input tax credit.

For works contract tax it is mandatory to have GST of each state where ever you are executing the job
