It is neither a question of dedication or inefficiency. It is a question of duty.
Corporate professionals who work after office hours are generally well paid. Before joining such big companies, they very well knew that they will have to work extra hours in return for a handsome pay package. Those who complain even after getting such pay package are, bluntly speaking, 'laidback' or 'do not like to work hard' or 'they do not love their work'. If such people do their own business, certainly they would have to work harder, may be, even more than this ! If they want to spend time with their family, they can even go for a 9 to 5 job and remain content with a not so good pay package. So, there is no justification for complaining.
Those who really love their work, never raise issues of work-life balance. For them, their work is life.
