No itc on works contract of immovable property.. But itc is allowed in case works contract services are for plant and machinery

road is immovable property...then I will be not able to avail ITC....
this makes no sense

It has logic. There is usually huge expenditure involved in works contract of immovable property.. So, itc expressly restricted in this case for the benefit of gst revenue of government.
