win7 and vista users, If you wanna backup your data from your c drive if your computer isn't BOOTING (BOOTING...that's right), follow these steps.
-u'll need ur respective OS CD.
-change the computers first boot device to CDROM in the BIOS
-you'll have to boot ur computer using the OS cd.
-launch command prompt using advanced options..
-once you reach command prompt type "notepad"
-a notepad would open up. once the file opens up, click on File and then save
-this will open up a file browser. from here you should be able to navigate anywhere on ur HDD.
-you'll be able to move all your files in the C drive to other drives.
-If you don't have another drive, thats ur funeral..Im not very sure if you can connect an external Hdd and it would show up, but this works like magic.
