Why to update this 5 things in our income tax portal ?

As everyone is aware that our PM Shri Narendra modiji is very aggressive towards parallel economy, Black money and unlawful activities for which the government revenue will affect, As the major he has taken steps and major to concern this issue in national issue. Our PM has taken some bold steps like demonetization, making Aadhar Link to Bank accounts, PAN number, and even if we need any government benefits Aadhar number is compulsory. 

Post Linking of Aadhar number with PAN number Income Tax has deducted almost 15 lac fake PAN numbers and more than 1 Lac fake companies which were created by the Ind for tax evidence. Going further in the process of ‘Operation Clean Money’ as a part of ‘Swatch Bharat Abhiyan’ Department of Income tax are having close eyes on each and every persons who is creating parallel economy, now department has given guidelines to the assesses who are holding PAN card and uploading there Income tax return to give there this 5 details and the assesses fails to provide this details might be the his/her PAN may be blocked, and the details are as follow:

  1. Mobile number :  Every person who is holding a valid PAN card number and filling annual tax returns is liable to update the valid 10 digit mobile number, this mobile number can be used for doing the E-verification of the return which is filled by the assesses.
  2. Email ID :  As Mobile number is compulsory likewise  a valid Email ID is also compulsory to be update on the Income tax profile as incase if any of the communication which income tax has to do with the assesses this electronic medium is the most safest and the fastest manner to get communicated with the assesses.
  3. Address :  While applying for the PAN card assesses  give some documents as their address prove which is a compulsory document and in the due course some assesses might had changed their address or some might has been shifted to some other place, now Income tax wants to re verify that the assesses has changed/unchanged their addresses so that the Physical communication can take place easily.
  4. Bank Account details : As now Aadhar has been linked with the Bank accounts and same Aadhar has been linked with the PAN number now the assesses has to update his/her Bank account details in the income tax profile so that while issuing the refund Income tax department don’t face any kind of problems.
  5. 1 Email ID and Mobile number is valid for 3 assesses which has been reduced which before the same email id’s and mobile number was been used to verify 10 assesses annual tax returns.

This are the new steps and major’s are taken by Income tax to capture the Fake PAN card holder’s, person’s holding multiple PAN cards, kindly update all the necessary details so that your PAN card is in active condition.
