Why the products price are like 999, 5499 0r1099??

Products prices  like as 999, 9999, 5499, 1999, Why they are not like  as 1000, 10000, 5500,2000?

Are there are any Tax liabilities....???

Any one having Idea in this regard....Pls Share....
