Why the importance to 1st attempt cas?

Why do companies insist on hiring those who have cleared CA in their first attempts? Is there any difference between those who have cleared it in their 1st attempt and those who have taken more than 1 attempt?

Bcoz it shows that a candidate is,

1) Fast Learner

2) Hard Worker

3) Intelligence

4) Proper Time Manager and Reliable

Not that a person giving 2 attempts will not have these qualities, also its not as if there is any difference between a person who passes in one attempt and a person who passes in two attempts but the problem arises when a person takes 4 or more attempts to pass CA exam since it tells a lot about the candidate.

However, I have repeated it many times that this attempt thing is over-rated even in job sector if you are able to develop, a fast learning and executing capacity Plus the single most important and common skill of Comunication...A person who has actually passed CA knows that this attempt stuff is all hype to a certain extent. You have to remember that job sector is not rewarding compared to business sector..You are always going to be under-paid and employers need a reason to pay you less...

Question is,

1) What can you do?

2) How far are you ready to go?

The times have changed a lot in the last 4 years , If u wanna a good package at entry level itself u need to be a first attempt chartered accountant , if not take a 20k job and in 3 - 4 yrs u ll join the line of the first timers , ICAI wants package of chartereds to be raised how will the industry afford it if it removes 30000 ca per attempt besides economy is recovering out of reccesion , u find hundreds of people saying my dream was to be a ca but after realising my dream im still here , what is going on ? , the sister institute removes 630 students per attempt and even they have to face heat of fresh ca's , there was a time when a person used to address himself as a ca , people used to look up at him , respect him ,get inspired by him, a single handed qualification containing the utmost power to divulge in every field of industry , what will be the future of this profession depends upon the how the institute regulates the demand

time to time the selection criteria is going to be tuff , there was a time when age criteria, attempt criteria ware not a matter for disscussion because ca was in short supply but now a days if there is a vacancy for one post more than fiffty ca come to interview thats why corporate have such a selection criteria furthermore i agee that the candidate who have cleared their examination is very frist attempt have better qualities than other .
