why no to ICFAI ?

why somebody says no to ICFAI if we have our number in ICAI rolls ?. I am CA final Student, i am interested in doing ICFAI US GAAP PG Dip costs 16000/-. Some of my friends said no to this as it is not allowed (they din say exact answer to my q). Please tell me i am in confusion can i do this course. I will be happy if i am clarified to the best extent. I hope answer to this question helps all like me :)

hi kiran go for this course it is just a diploma and nothing elsr thus institute can't disaalow it. further acquiring knowledge is one of the fundamental right under contitution therefore no one can take this right from you

yes any course from ICFAI is proscribed by ICAI.

kiran can u please tell me why u want 2 do this course.

if u want get out of india then also idon't think course from icfai would help u

only cfa course of icfai has got some reputation.

i liked to do this course b.coz it really adds some color to my work. i can do both on indian and US GAAP, besides i can do GAAP reconciliations more easily than any other if i do this course. i like to do it just to enhance my knowledge base, not a matter of getin out of india. even some MNC's need workin on both the GAAP's rite ?

hey you can do the course. but you cannot do it during your articleship period and you cannot be a member of the ICFAI. these are the only restrictions. i wanted to do the CFA program..so i checked out the info then. so if ur articles are over, u r free to do it.

Please note that CA,ICWA and ICSI institutes are playing professional role in india and they are maintaining results and 80 % wastage are in these courses. ICFAI are helping them to get some degree from them and I know most of the failure students from these institutes did various courses from ICFAI Tripura and serve large industries on higher position. it course are competitive from these institutes and I feel that if Govt recognise this degree then it will be fruitful to most of the students and it will curtail the monopoly of these institutes. these course are helpful to all or more than 20000 C A final unsuccessful students
