At the time of partition, Jammu and Kashmir agreed to accession to India. Therefore, most laws when passed by the Indian Parliament states the applicability of the act to the whole of India except to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per article 370 of the Indian constitution , any acts will apply to the state of Jammu and Kashmir only after the approval of J&K assembly. If it approves that act would apply, or else, not.

Thanks vyshavi and Vishal...
since in companies act it said it applies to WHOLE of India(including J&K) .. my doubt now before making it applicable (even J&K) is this act took any approval from j&k assembly???
J and k have special status. Any act by Indian parliament is applicable to whole of India and not j and k. ......J and kk is a deemed seperate ....and has separate flag for the state ( as country). Cm is the pm of that place. Practically jk has dual status of state and separate Constitution which is part of Indian Constitution.
Sardar vallabh bhai patel united all the emperors into one nation called Bharat. But only 3 of the kings were not ready to migrate into united india. He managed to convince two out of the 3 kings
. But only one king from J n K was not ready to migrate into india. But later on Nehru convinced the king to mingle into india but at that time the king imposed one condition that any act applicable to India shall not b aplicable to JK unles their parliament gives accent to such acts. N the same condition is still into existance.
